Job description

Southwestern Wire, Inc., a leading producer of chain link fencing & steel wire products, nationwide, is seeking an Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Unlimited) for work in a manufacturing and industrial environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for production equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment
  • Run and bend conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Troubleshoot motors, control panels, and production systems
  • Perform wiring, grounding, and panel installations
  • Ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards
  • Work with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications:

  • Valid Unlimited Journeyman Electrician license (as required, unlicensed applicants will not be considered)
  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience
  • Strong conduit and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of NEC and industrial safety standards

Preferred:

  • PLC and VFD experience
  • Familiarity with automation or production equipment
