Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Lead Industrial Painter and take charge of high-quality coating projects across manufacturing and fabrication environments. In this energetic role, you will lead a skilled team of painters, oversee surface preparation, and ensure flawless application of industrial and construction paints. Your expertise will drive the finishing excellence that enhances durability, safety, and aesthetics of industrial equipment, structures, and machinery. Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a team of industrial painters, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
  • Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other power tools with precision and efficiency
  • Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes for materials handling and equipment positioning
  • Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and surface quality
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of tools and machinery
  • Collaborate with fabrication, welding, auto body repair, and machining teams to facilitate seamless project execution
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspection results in accordance with company standards

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting, or auto painting with a strong understanding of materials handling and surface preparation techniques
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint sprayers
  • Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes, machining operations, auto body repair techniques, and precision measurement instruments
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, and project estimations
  • Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments is highly advantageous
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards
  • Computer skills required
