St. Brendan School is seeking a full-time Reading Specialist who is deeply committed to evidence-based, structured literacy approaches to support, supplement, and extend classroom teaching. This educator works collaboratively to implement a high-quality, research-based reading program that meets the unique needs of our students. The ideal candidate brings a passion for literacy assessment and instruction and a strong desire to work within a dedicated educational team and school community.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Support
โ€ข Supplement daily classroom literacy teaching.
โ€ข Extend learning for targeted student groups.
โ€ข Collaborate with teachers on research-based strategies.
โ€ข Implement high-quality, evidence-based reading programs.
โ€ข Meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Assessment & Diagnosis
โ€ข Utilize specialized knowledge of literacy assessment tools.
