We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Account Manager to join our team and play a critical role in growing our business and supporting our customers from prospecting through long-term success.

Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager serves as the primary owner of customer relationships throughout the entire customer lifecycle. This role is responsible for generating and qualifying leads, closing new business opportunities, onboarding new accounts, managing ongoing customer success, and driving revenue growth through account expansion and retention.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, creating opportunities, and delivering results. This position combines business development, consultative sales, account management, and customer success responsibilities to ensure customers receive exceptional service while achieving company sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Proactively identify, source, and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Generate and qualify leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, trade shows, and existing customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Present product offerings and business solutions to prospective customers.
Sales & Closing
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate terms, and secure new business partnerships.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create solutions that meet customer needs while supporting company objectives.
  • Cross-sell and upsell products across the portfolio to maximize customer value.
Account Management & Customer Success
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular communication and strategic partnership development.
  • Conduct account reviews to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and integration of new customers.
  • Monitor customer performance and proactively address issues before they impact satisfaction.
  • Work closely with customers to support their business objectives and maximize sales performance.
Customer Support & Relationship Management
  • Resolve customer concerns by investigating issues, developing solutions, and coordinating internal resources.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional service.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to support customer needs.
  • Handle account-specific requests and support business needs outside of traditional business hours when necessary.
Sales Operations & Administration
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline updates within CRM systems.
  • Process orders and support point-of-sale transactions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control and operational procedures.
  • Prepare reports, forecasts, and account updates for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer experience, and sales effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Business Development, Sales, Customer Success, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and growing customer accounts.
  • Experience managing B2B customer relationships from prospecting through ongoing account management.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify business challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales technology platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
