Demand & Deployment Analyst

Corporate Retail

Monday-Friday

Columbus Ohio

Hybrid

Contract – 6 months could extend


What You’ll Do:

  • Execute pre-season and in-season inventory deployment strategies to optimize store inventory, sales, and profitability across the business
  • Analyze demand trends, inventory positions, and sales performance to align financial and operational plans
  • Develop and execute inventory deployment strategies that maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity
  • Partner with Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A) teams across multiple business lines to support inventory initiatives through reporting and data analysis
  • Participate in floorset planning, inventory forecasting, demand planning, and size-selling analysis to identify merchandising opportunities
  • Identify assortment opportunities and continuously refine deployment strategies based on business insights and performance trends
  • Perform store-level inventory analysis and respond to allocation and inventory callouts from business partners
  • Collaborate with domestic and international cross-functional teams to support inventory planning and deployment initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchise partners and internal stakeholders
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to support business decisions and inventory management
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, allocation, and deployment processes through data-driven solutions
  • Champion store and size-level inventory optimization strategies across markets and geographic regions
  • Support special projects and additional business initiatives as needed


What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory deployment, allocation, or demand planning, preferably within a retail environment
  • Previous experience supporting international retail markets is preferred
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience with allocation and merchandising systems such as JDA Allocation, MSI (MicroStrategy), SAP, Manugistics, or Salesforce preferred
  • Experience owning a merchandise category or inventory deployment strategy
  • Previous allocation or deployment experience within retail
  • Familiarity with inventory forecasting, size optimization, and assortment planning
  • Strong experience with JDA Allocation or similar allocation platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • International retail or global planning experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
