Transform the Future of Manufacturing at DuPont

At DuPont, we're reimagining how world-class manufacturing organizations operate by combining Operational Excellence, advanced technologies, and the DuPont Business System to drive breakthrough business performance.

We are seeking a visionary Manufacturing Domain Leader to shape and accelerate our global manufacturing excellence strategy. This is a highly visible leadership role that will influence operations across multiple businesses and manufacturing sites around the world. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operational Excellence, you will serve as a key member of the Global Operational Excellence Leadership Team and help define how manufacturing excellence is deployed across one of the world's most iconic industrial companies.

If you are passionate about operational transformation, business systems, Lean manufacturing, and building global capabilities that deliver measurable results, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact at scale.

What You'll Do

As the Manufacturing Domain Leader, you will lead a global team of manufacturing subject matter experts responsible for developing and deploying world-class manufacturing standards, tools, playbooks, and best practices that improve productivity, agility, safety, quality, and business performance across DuPont.

You will:

  • Define and drive DuPont's global manufacturing excellence strategy across multiple businesses and manufacturing sites.
  • Lead the creation, deployment, and continuous improvement of manufacturing standards, toolkits, and operational excellence playbooks based on industry-leading practices.
  • Partner closely with Business Operational Excellence Directors, Integrated Operations Leaders, and functional leaders across Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, and Maintenance to deliver sustainable improvements in SQDIP performance.
  • Build and strengthen manufacturing capability by developing practitioner training, certification programs, and communities of practice.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturing and business leaders, facilitating workshops, Kaizen events, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic transformation programs.
  • Develop robust manufacturing performance metrics, analytics, and "single sources of truth" that enable data-driven decision making from the plant floor to the executive leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Engineering, Automation, and IT leaders to maximize value from manufacturing technologies and IT/OT systems.
  • Integrate manufacturing excellence tools and practices into the evolving DuPont Business System to create a consistent approach across the enterprise.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Why This Role Matters

This is far more than a traditional operational excellence role.

You will help shape the future of manufacturing across a global enterprise undergoing significant transformation. Working alongside senior leaders, you will influence strategy, drive execution, and build capabilities that impact thousands of employees and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Influence manufacturing performance across multiple global businesses.
  • Build and scale world-class operational excellence practices.
  • Develop future manufacturing leaders and practitioners.
  • Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
  • Help embed the DuPont Business System across the organization.

What We're Looking For

Leadership Experience

  • 15+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience, including significant time spent supporting plant operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational excellence or manufacturing transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization, from plant operations to executive leadership.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a matrixed, global environment.

Operational Excellence Expertise

  • Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Experience deploying structured business systems such as the Danaher Business System, Toyota Production System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar frameworks.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable year-over-year improvements in operational performance.

Manufacturing & Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, operations management, and plant performance drivers.
  • Experience creating manufacturing standards, best practices, playbooks, and capability-building programs.
  • Ability to leverage data and operational metrics to identify opportunities and drive sustainable results.
  • Experience partnering with digital, engineering, automation, and IT teams to improve manufacturing performance.

Change Leadership

  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and Management of Change (MoC) processes.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for building a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

Location & Travel

Preferred Location: Wilmington, Delaware (DuPont Corporate Headquarters), Midland, Michigan, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Travel: Approximately 50% global travel to manufacturing sites and business locations.
