Job description

Training Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Training Manager to lead the development and execution of company-wide training programs that support employee success, operational excellence, and leadership development.

In this role, you will partner with Operations, Human Resources, Recruiting, and Leadership teams to design and deliver impactful learning experiences that improve employee performance, strengthen company culture, and drive business results. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on training professional who enjoys developing people and building scalable training programs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and facilitate onboarding, operational, leadership, and professional development training programs.
  • Create engaging training materials, presentations, job aids, and learning resources.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and develop customized learning solutions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate and manage new hire onboarding programs.
  • Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  • Assist with company rollouts, policy updates, and operational process changes.
  • Maintain training records, completion reports, and learning documentation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and employee development.
  • Travel to branch locations as needed to facilitate training and support field operations.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate training, learning and development, organizational development, or leadership development.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs for diverse employee populations.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS) or HRIS platforms.
Preferred
  • Experience in staffing, workforce solutions, recruiting, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or other service-based industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Professional certifications such as ATD, CPTD, SHRM, or similar credentials are a plus.
