Travel RN – Float Pool

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 3x12s | Every Other Weekend
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $47–$56/Hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week Float Pool assignment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, clinically strong, and able to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units while adapting quickly to changing clinical environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, and educational needs).

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions per physician orders.

  • Monitor patient conditions and escalate changes to physicians and charge nurses.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using SBAR communication.

  • Provide patient and family education aligned with discharge planning.

  • Respond to emergencies with safe and effective clinical interventions.

  • Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.

  • Document all patient care accurately in the EMR.

  • Float to different units based on hospital staffing needs.

Requirements
  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License

  • Diploma in Nursing required

  • BLS Certification (AHA) required

  • Strong adaptability across multiple acute care units

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
