Job description

Located in the heart of Central Ohio, Illuminate USA is transforming solar panel manufacturing from our cutting‑edge facility in Pataskala. We are a new standalone joint venture founded by two global leaders in renewable energy, with a 1.1‑million‑square‑foot factory and an ever‑growing team of over 1,500 associates. Our vision is to establish one of the largest solar panel manufacturing operations in the Western Hemisphere.

Job Summary

The Event Specialist will plan, coordinate, and deliver events that showcase Illuminate USA’s culture and community impact. From associate celebrations to recruiting fairs, trade shows, and community partnerships, you will be responsible for managing every detail to create memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events, including associate celebrations, recruiting fairs, trade shows, community activities, networking opportunities, and local off‑site events.
  • Represent Illuminate USA at events to strengthen brand awareness, community partnerships, and talent attraction.
  • Manage the master event calendar, ensuring alignment across teams and company priorities.
  • Handle event logistics from start to finish: venue selection, vendor coordination, catering, travel arrangements, schedules, set‑up, tear‑down, and on‑site support.
  • Coordinate booth logistics and attendee experience for trade shows, including materials, promotional items, and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, community organizations, and service providers.
  • Ensure every event reflects Illuminate USA’s brand, culture, values, and experience standards.
  • Use creativity, resourcefulness, and problem‑solving skills to anticipate needs and keep events running smoothly.
  • Collect feedback, track event outcomes and participation metrics, and provide recommendations to improve future experiences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in event planning, coordination, community engagement, trade show management, marketing events, or project management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence interacting across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Creative, resourceful, and detail‑oriented while maintaining flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event management platforms or CRM tools is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and attend off‑site events, including occasional evening or weekend support as business needs require.
