Job Summary

This Senior leader in Data, Reporting & Systems is responsible to set the vision and strategy for finance data, analytics, and technology enablement. In this top-tier role, you will ensure Finance has the tools, information, and insight needed to operate efficiently, remain fully compliant, and support enterprise strategic objectives. The Director provides oversight and direction to the entire Data, Reporting & Systems function, aligning it with Finance leadership priorities and broader business transformation efforts.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute data & reporting strategy - Develop and implement the long-term strategy and roadmap for Finance data, reporting, and systems, aligned with the company's financial and digital initiatives.
  • Own finance system roadmaps - Oversee the strategic planning and execution of major finance technology implementations and upgrades, including enterprise system roadmaps and analytics platform deployments.
  • Drive cross-functional transformation - Partner with IT and business leaders (e.g., FP&A, Accounting, Operations) on finance transformation initiatives, ensuring data and reporting capabilities advance business objectives and are integrated across the enterprise.
  • Ensure enterprise data governance and compliance - Enforce robust data governance, security, and SOX compliance across financial data and reporting processes, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of information.
  • Provide executive insights - Deliver clear, high-level reporting and analysis to Finance and executive leadership, ensuring visibility into financial performance, key risks, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build a high-performing organization - Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the analytics and systems team. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, and ensure the organization structure and processes scale to meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related business.
  • 10+ years of experience across finance, analytics, technology, or transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership in system implementation, reporting modernization, and change management.

Other Must Haves

  • Strong understanding of enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, including how FP&A outputs support financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and executive governance.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products and deep familiarity with enterprise financial systems, planning tools, and data architecture; ability to assess control, governance, and data quality implications.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behavior, professional judgment, and accountability.
  • Significant experience in or strong familiarity with the regulated utility industry, including capital planning, costrecovery mechanisms, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong business and strategic acumen with a focus on driving efficiency, consistency, and process improvement across teams.
  • Ability to evaluate complex issues, balance tradeoffs, and make sound decisions under uncertainty.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executivelevel communication and narrative development.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, align, and develop others.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations in a fastpaced, highaccountability environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and performancemanage team members.
  • Continuous improvement mindset demonstrated through change leadership, adaptability, and proactive identification of risks and opportunities.

Compensation Range:

$160,434.00 - $208,565.50
