EPIC Health is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Reporting Analyst to transform operational, clinical, and financial data into actionable insights that drive performance and decision-making across the organization.
This role requires advanced Excel expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to operational and executive leadership. The ideal candidate enjoys working with large datasets, identifying trends, solving problems, and helping leaders understand the story behind the numbers.
Experience with healthcare reporting systems is strongly preferred, with Athena reporting experience considered a major plus.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports using advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, data models, and advanced formulas.
  • Analyze operational, clinical, and financial data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and executive summaries to support leadership and operational teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs.
Performance Monitoring & Insights
  • Track KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational performance indicators.
  • Identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations that support decision-making.
  • Proactively identify risks, outliers, and emerging trends.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Improve and automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Reduce manual reporting efforts while improving reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Document reporting logic, definitions, and data sources.
Collaboration
  • Partner with operations, clinical leadership, finance, and project teams to support reporting needs.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and provide timely analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for reporting and performance analytics across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and large dataset management.
  • Experience creating and maintaining operational, financial, or performance reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred
  • Athena reporting experience.
  • Healthcare analytics, healthcare operations, or population health experience.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership with strategic reporting and performance analysis.
