What You’ll Do:
- Manage procurement activities across several capital projects as we are actively building and deploying industrial systems, operations, and commercial initiatives
- Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, startup evolving environment with minimal supervision
- Source materials, equipment, and services while maintaining strong vendor and supplier relationships
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- Support facility operations through purchasing, vendor management, and service agreements
- Coordinate purchasing activities for field projects, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and invoice processing
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to improve supply continuity and reduce risk
- Forecast purchasing needs based on business demand, inventory levels, and project schedules
- Manage freight and logistics activities, including carrier coordination, shipment tracking, and issue resolution
- Monitor supply chain risks, lead times, and supplier performance while developing contingency plans as needed
- Oversee the full lifecycle of vendor and service contracts, including compliance, change orders, and contract closeout
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time to support project schedules
- Utilize ERP and purchasing systems (Netsuite, Bill.com, SAP) to manage procurement transactions and reporting
- Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payment documentation using ERP and financial systems
- Support vendor onboarding, supplier data maintenance, and purchasing documentation
- Assist with contract administration, including vendor agreements, change orders, compliance tracking, and contract closeout
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, and other departments to support purchasing initiatives and budget management
What Were Looking for:
- 3–7 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, materials management, supply chain, or a related manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting capital projects, manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments preferred
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with shifting priorities, with a curious mindset
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
- Highly organized with excellent communication and prioritization skills
- Strong understanding of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and ERP systems (Netsuite, Bill.com, SAP)
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies) is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work primarily onsite in a professional office or manufacturing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other business software applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
