    The Opportunity

    WSP is currently seeking a Senior HR Director. Reporting to the Vice President, Global HR, you will be responsible to partner and build strong relationships with the designated Corporate Functions Executives and their direct reports by providing executive coaching while proactively supporting the strategic agenda of the business through leveraging the overall talent strategy. You will support executives located across multiple countries and will collaborate closely with an HR team that is likewise distributed internationally, ensuring an integrated and consistent approach to delivering global talent strategies and supporting leaders worldwide.

    You will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of WSP's operations including the corporate functions and partner with the senior leaders to achieve financial targets and business strategy, all while integrating the talent strategy, including supporting our broader business partner transformation strategy (GBPI), to drive a high-performance and thriving diverse culture.

    You will provide insight and expertise to the senior leaders surrounding major change initiatives in the business as it relates to organizational changes, including re-alignments to meet business needs while considering impacts on the business and employees. 

    You'll review and analyze HR KPIs, trends and issues to provide insights and recommendations to the senior leaders and define actions, with the goal of increasing overall engagement, culture and diversity.

    You will create strong and effective partnerships with internal HR functions, such as the broader HR teams in the regions, and Centers of Excellence teams to provide best in class service to the business while ensuring all HR practices and programs are embedded in the business.

    Your Impact

    You will develop a broad understanding of all WSP HR programs and will be responsible to ensure the understanding, buy-in and application of all HR initiatives within your designated client groups. Some of these programs include;

    • Talent Strategy: You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to provide input into WSP's overall Talent Strategy.  Planning for critical roles required in the present and for the future will be integral.
    • Succession Planning: You will lead some of the corporate executives through the succession planning process by facilitating the discussion surrounding the identification of emerging diverse talent. In addition to this, you will support the HR team in ensuing our top talent have the appropriate development plans to thrive and grow within our organization.
    • Performance Management: You will offer your executive client group comprehensive coaching and guidance on our performance management program to promote and sustain a high-performing, highly engaged, and diverse organizational culture.

    • Total Rewards: With the assistance of our compensation team, you will provide guidance and advice to your Corporate Executives and their direct reports on WSP's overall compensation programs while ensuring pay equity amongst the employees within your client group. 

    • Engagement: With the assistance of our HR team, you will analyze data from different sources such as, engagement surveys, exit surveys, exit reports etc. in order to provide sound advice on key actions required to increase engagement within your client group by using existing HR programs and tools to ensure a consistent WSP experience.  You will also identify any new required corporate initiatives to assist in the ongoing engagement of our employees to the HR team.
    • Talent Development & Management: With the assistance of our L&D Team, you will provide guidance and advice on WSP's talent development programs to foster a continuous learning and development culture.

    • Informal roll up your sleeves and get it done leadership style that is people-centric, effective and marked by a high level of energy;
    • Financial modeling and insight as it relates to compensation and budget review for all labour requirements in your identified group;
    • 12+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in a large, matrix organization.
    • Bilingualism (English & French), written and spoken is required.
