When you're the best, we're the best. We instill an environment where employees feel engaged, satisfied and able to contribute their unique skills and talents while living and working as their authentic selves. We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.

Summary:

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for supplier performance, contractual compliance, inventory assurance, and supplier success across the Vizient Reserve program. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for supplier onboarding, performance management, and retention while building executive-level supplier partnerships that strengthen supply resiliency and deliver value to clients. You will collaborate across sourcing, contracting, operations, analytics, sales, and client-facing teams to ensure supplier commitments are achieved, operational excellence is maintained, and continuity of care is supported through effective program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Supplier Performance & Success team, providing strategic direction for supplier onboarding, retention, contract implementation, and ongoing performance management.

  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers to align business objectives with Vizient Reserve program requirements.

  • Oversee supplier compliance with contractual obligations, including inventory commitments, reporting requirements, replenishment expectations, and disruption response protocols.

  • Establish governance processes, performance metrics, and compliance monitoring to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and strengthen supplier accountability.

  • Direct supplier inventory validation, operational readiness assessments, quality assurance activities, and capability reviews to ensure program integrity.

  • Partner with sourcing and contracting teams to define operational requirements, inventory expectations, and performance standards during supplier negotiations.

  • Develop supplier onboarding and retention strategies that accelerate implementation, strengthen engagement, and support long-term contract success.

  • Lead supplier communication and cross-functional response efforts during market disruptions, serving as the executive escalation point to support continuity of care.

  • Analyze supplier performance trends and provide strategic recommendations that enhance supplier engagement, operational processes, governance standards, and overall program effectiveness.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required, experience in healthcare supply chain leadership and/or healthcare sourcing preferred.

  • Experience leading supplier relationship management, supplier performance, sourcing, contracting, or supply chain operations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex supplier partnerships and executive-level client relationships.

  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, supplier governance, compliance, and performance management.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving operational process improvements.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management, and executive presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business issues, manage risk, and develop strategic solutions.

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative culture.

  • Willingness to travel.
