La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a talented and dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!
* Travel is required in this position, and candidate must be based in the Charlotte Metro/surrounding area/s.
* Travel Expectation: 95%+

The greatest asset at our mental health facility is our staff, comprising highly qualified psychiatrists, psychologists, professional nurses, social workers, therapists, and mental health technicians who work as a team to uphold La Amistad's reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve behavioral health problems.
Position Summary:
This position represents La Amistad in markets including hospitals, crisis units, physicians, mental health professionals and other assigned groups or agencies. The position assists in the organization and implementation of the marketing plan. Works with the Director of Business Development in the development and coordination of projects. Performs marketing functions as assigned by the Director.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Identifies the most viable, potential referral sources/payers within the target markets and determines how to access those sources.
  • Acts as a facilitator between the referral sources and La Amistad regarding admission communication follow-up.
  • Consistently gains customer commitment throughout the selling process.
  • Provides individualized follow-up services when appropriate.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of competitors' strengths and weaknesses and current positions in the market and reports any updates or changes to the Director of Marketing/Development.
  • Develops a contact list of step-down/alternative placement programs and community resources in assigned markets to assist Admissions and Social Services departments with case management.
  • Develops an individual sales plan, using a product line approach, identifying, developing, and maintaining specific referral accounts each month (average 160 contacts each month)

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related business field or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Experience: Minimum two (2)-years in Marketing/Sales, preferably in the Psychiatric and/or Substance Abuse field. Military background a plus!
  • License/Certification: N/A
  • Physical Requirements: Irregular and long hours may be required occasionally. Current Driver's License and car insurance. Some over-night travel is required. Lifting and loading twenty (20) pound boxes containing brochures and/or literature and fifty (50) pound display boards, etc.
  • Other: Performs other duties as may be assigned by Director of Business Development or CEO.
  • Travel required. Some commute to the Central Florida office on occasion.
