As an Account Manager, Promotional Products, you will manage and grow customer relationships while helping organizations find creative branded merchandise solutions that support their business objectives. You will partner closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience from concept through fulfillment.

The Account Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction and for the delivery of commitments made by the company. The Account Manager is responsible for achieving team sales and profit goals and designing and implementing strategic business plans and reviews for assigned Accounts. The Account Manager works with the Vertical Market Sales Leader to forecast sales figures and achieve/exceed those objectives, collaborates with other sales support teams to ensure ordering and delivery of sales, and strategically plans for key Enterprise Accounts.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative selling, relationship management, and identifying opportunities to expand business within existing and prospective accounts

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across multiple industries.

  • Partner with clients to understand business goals and recommend promotional merchandise solutions that align with their objectives.

  • Develop account plans designed to grow customer engagement and increase business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal sales support, sourcing, operations, and vendor partners to ensure projects are executed successfully.

  • Manage customer inquiries, product recommendations, quotes, orders, and issue resolution.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts and develop new customer relationships.

  • Stay current on promotional product trends, decorating methods, and emerging merchandise solutions.

  • Present creative merchandise ideas and campaign recommendations tailored to customer needs.

  • Monitor customer activity and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through ongoing outreach and follow-up.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

What you bring to the table:

  • A consultative mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and recommend practical solutions.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and internal partners.

  • Curiosity and creativity when identifying product ideas, campaign concepts, and customer growth opportunities.

  • Sound judgment when balancing customer needs, timelines, service expectations, and business priorities.

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment where customer requests and project details can shift quickly.

  • A proactive ownership style, including timely follow-up, issue resolution, and clear communication.

  • A collaborative approach that helps connect sales, sourcing, operations, and support teams around the customer experience.

  • Ability to travel as needed, generally local

What's needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 3 + years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or a related client-facing role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • University or college diploma in sales or business OR equivalent working experience within a B2B sales environment 

  • CSP designation or CPSA graduate is preferred

  • Industry experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel, marketing services, advertising specialty, print, or related fields.

  • Experience working with customers in the Energy, Agriculture, or Construction industries.

  • Prior sales and/or business development experience, including prospecting, pipeline development, and account growth.

  • Familiarity with industry sourcing, decorating processes, supplier management, or promotional product platforms.

  • Ability to develop creative merchandise solutions that address customer business needs.
