    Job description

    Our finance team partners across the business provide insight, support, and financial expertise that help Staples deliver results. 

    As a Finance Shared Services Trainer, you'll play a key role in helping Order to Cash teams build the knowledge, confidence, and consistency they need to do their best work. In this role, you'll create engaging learning experiences, support process excellence, and make a meaningful impact on team performance, compliance, and customer support. 

      What you will be doing: 

    • Design, implement, and facilitate training programs that help Finance Shared Services teams understand processes, systems, and best practices with confidence. 
    • Create practical training materials such as manuals, e-learning modules, job aids, and process documentation that help teams apply learning quickly and consistently. 
    • Lead in-person workshops, virtual webinars, and on-the-job coaching that make learning approachable and relevant for Finance Shared Services team members. 
    • Partner with FSS leadership and key stakeholders to understand training needs, identify skill gaps, and connect learning programs to business priorities. 
    • Monitor training effectiveness and knowledge retention through assessments, feedback, and performance evaluations. 
    • Provide ongoing coaching and support that helps associates follow processes, stay compliant, and continuously improve how work gets done. 
    • Collaborate with IT, finance, and other cross-functional partners to ensure training reflects current systems, policies, regulations, and business changes. 
    • Support process improvement efforts by helping identify training gaps, develop standard operating procedures, and maintain training records for audit and compliance needs. 

    What You Bring to the Table: 

    • You're a confident facilitator and presenter who can engage different audiences and turn complex processes into clear, practical learning experiences. 
    • You communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and you enjoy creating documentation and training resources that make work easier for others. 
    • You're detail-oriented, analytical, and curious about what helps people learn, retain knowledge, and improve performance. 
    • You're comfortable managing multiple training initiatives, working independently, and adapting as systems, policies, and business priorities change. 
    • You build strong working relationships across finance, IT, leadership, and vendor partners, and you bring organization and collaboration to every project. 

    What's needed: Basic Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or relevant work experience.
    • 3+ years Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
    • Strong communication, organization, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. 

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience in learning and development role within a finance, accounts receivable, or shared services environment. 
    • Experience with e-learning platforms, virtual training tools, and blended learning approaches. 
    • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable.

The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.  In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
