    Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000 - $90,000+ per year, based on experience and qualifications
    About This Posting
This is a standing posting, not a listing for a specific vacancy. HOUSEpitality Family is a growing restaurant group, and we build our leadership bench ahead of need - that means we are always open to speaking with talented, experienced restaurant leaders, even when no specific opening is listed. We promote from within first, but we are always looking to speak with talented, passionate individuals. If you think you'd be a great fit for our team, we'd like to talk with you. Qualified candidates may be considered for current or future opportunities across our eight Richmond-area restaurants.
    About Us
HOUSEpitality Family proudly owns and operates eight restaurants in and around Richmond, VA: The Boathouse (Sunday Park, Rocketts Landing, Short Pump, and City Point), Casa del Barco (Canal Walk and Short Pump), Island Shrimp Co., and Can Can Brasserie. We Celebrate Life One Bite At A Time, and we're building a team of passionate, driven people who want to grow in a culture rooted in Integrity, Innovation, Knowledge, and Empowerment.

You'll lead a management team and hourly staff of 50+, drive sales and guest satisfaction, manage the P&L including labor and cost of goods, recruit and develop talent at every level, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and partner with our corporate team on marketing, events, and long-term growth. You are the standard-bearer for hospitality in your building.
    What We're Looking For
    • 3+ years as a General Manager (or 5+ years as a senior AGM) in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
    • Proven P&L ownership: labor management, COGS, budgeting, and forecasting
    • A track record of building teams - hiring well, developing managers, and retaining great people
    • Strong floor presence and genuine hospitality instincts
    • Experience with restaurant systems (POS, scheduling, inventory) - we use Toast, 7shifts, Paycom, and Restaurant365

    Compensation & Growth
General Manager salaries start at $65,000 and range to $90,000+ depending on experience and qualifications. All of our managers move through a structured career path; upon graduating (typically within your first few months), you qualify for an annual bonus opportunity starting at $6,000 based on performance metrics, with bonus potential that grows from there.
    What We Offer
Health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, dining privileges across all eight restaurants, a structured career path with defined milestones, and real room to grow within a multi-concept group.
    How to Apply
Apply with your resume. All inquiries are handled confidentially. Even if the timing isn't perfect today, we'd love to stay connected about future opportunities.
