    About this Location:
    This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Temecula, CA. Ideally situated near Old Town Temecula, Embassy Suites by Hilton Temecula Valley Wine Country offers guests a relaxing stay with spacious suites and convenient access to local dining, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel is just minutes from renowned wineries throughout Temecula Valley Wine Country, as well as popular attractions like Old Town Temecula. Guests can also enjoy nearby golf courses, hot air balloon rides, and easy access to outdoor experiences in the surrounding hills and vineyards.
    Purpose for the Position:
    The HR Coordinator is responsible for aligning the corporate people strategy within the hotel. In partnership with hotel leadership they drive employee engagement, help retention and help implement culture by building initiatives within the hotel. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with ADA, harassment investigations, leaves of absence, recruitment, training and development, wage and hour rules, workers compensation, as well as ensuring that federal and state laws are being adhered to. The HR Coordinator helps foster an environment where employees feel valued and empowered.
    Essential Responsibilities:
    HR Compliance
    1. Ensures that HR policies and procedures are being followed by employees.
    2. Ensures that labor laws, federal and state laws are being followed and adhered to.
    3. Handles employee relations issues as they arise and provides guidance on workplace concerns and conflicts. Works with corporate HR to resolve complex matters.
    4. Completes payroll for the property and oversees wage and hour compliance.

    Recruitment
    1. Ensure recruitment platforms are being used fully and efficiently, and job postings are refreshed with appropriate job postings and appropriate branding is being used.
    2. Supports a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, to ensure they integrate appropriately into the hotel culture.

    People Operations
    1. With hotel leadership and corporate guidance develop and implement programs that help enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
    2. Conduct interviews as appropriate and provide feedback as necessary.
    3. Coordinates recognition programs that celebrate team achievements and individual employee accomplishments.
    4. Provide news for the Windsor Newsletter by working to capture content.
    5. Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and general related matters.
    6. Submits employee injury reports to Workers' compensation.
    7. Helps lead initiatives that enhance team morale and strengthen workplace relationships.
    8. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
    9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    HRIS System
    1. Ad Hoc reporting as necessary for Finance and Corporate Human Resources
    2. Ensures all data in Paylocity is relevant and up to date.
    3. Audits Paycom hotel data to ensure it is accurate.
    4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with relevant regulations.

    Qualifications:
    • At least 2 to 3 years' experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related role, preferably in hospitality.
    • Strong Self- Starter Mentality - Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative without constant supervision. Comfortable working independently and driving projects forward - required.
    • Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, HRIS system, and Applicant Tracking System.
    • Understanding employment laws and regulations related to HR practices.
    • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Hotel experience highly preferred
    • Bilingual, Spanish and English is not required but highly desirable.

    Schedule & Hours:
    This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.
    Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 5 pounds of force occasionally. Primarily sedentary work sitting but also requires walking or standing to a significant degree and or requires working throughout different areas of the hotel. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
