Job description

Slumberland Furniture is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive customer experience by handling merchandise with care and delivering it safely and on time. Our ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, customer-focused, and able to lift and move heavy furniture with ease. Experience with furniture service and minor repairs is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and move furniture and mattresses safely and efficiently
  • Deliver merchandise to customer homes with professionalism and courtesy
  • Assemble and install furniture as needed at customer locations or in-store
  • Provide minor furniture service or repairs during delivery or as scheduled
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and delivery vehicle
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections of products before delivery
  • Assist customers with questions and ensure a smooth delivery experience
  • Work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure order accuracy
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven reliability with strong attendance and punctuality
  • Friendly, professional attitude with a focus on outstanding customer service
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (75–100+ lbs) throughout the day
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in furniture handling, delivery, or assembly preferred
  • Experience with furniture service or minor repairs is highly desirable
