Summary
As a Software Manager on the L'Oreal Retail IT Team, you will have a large impact on the most visible aspects of the point-of-sale application for SalonCentric stores, GK OmniPOS. At L'Oreal IT, we are devoted to constantly improving, exploring new ideas, and leveraging new technologies to best support our retail brands. Since GK OmniPOS is a newer technology under the Retail IT tree, we are looking to build a strong foundation on the team to ensure the application is enhanced with integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Designing enhancements for GK OmniPOS using Java SDK that address needs of the brand, SalonCentric (a subsidiary of L'Oreal USA.)
Creating innovative solutions for business opportunities, while maintaining quality standards using a structured approach / IT methodology
Partnering with our support teams in order to continuously improve the application
Communicating and working within a globally distributed and diverse team, including business stakeholders
Documenting the application's underlying architecture and new implementations to the environment, leveraging Confluence
Manage and document the business and IT requirements, architecture designs, wikis/knowledgebases, and work-instructions to support the lifecycle of all applications under the Retail IT scope for SalonCentric.
Act as a SME for the functionality of the GK-specific applications, how it impacts current and future business processes, and during project testing.
Manage GK-related back-end components such as Store Manager, Store Device Control, and Mobile Workbench.
Partner with the Retail IT Team and 'SalonCentric POD' for system design of the new applications, or enhancements to existing solutions

Assist with build activities and IT projects that affect the retail stores to deliver on quality, content, cost, and deadlines.
Performs other duties or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
Proven skills and hands-on programming experience in Java and using Swing Toolkit
Experience delivering highly scalable and resilient solutions in complex environments
Knowledge of several frameworks and technologies, such as:
JavaScript, HTML5, Spring, Maven, Eclipse, Jenkins, Apache Tomcat and SQL
Strong background designing and building distributed backend systems that handle high volumes of traffic
Exposure working with support teams and creating succinct documentation to seamlessly knowledge transfer concepts
Excellent ability to prioritize, time manage, and focus on execution
Preferred
Solid knowledge of the SAP OmniPOS solution (T2 and / or T6 Certifications)
Previous experience with the Agile development methodology
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence
Exposure to implementing or integrating with enterprise systems such as SAP S4
Experience working in retail environments with large-scale deployments (100+ locations)
Language Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and/or Experience
College degree required
GK Software T2 or T7 certification preferred
Salesforce certification preferred "
