Location: JA BizTown/JA Career Discovery Park | This position is based at administrative offices at JA World. | 1130 Coconut Creek Blvd Coconut Creek, FL 33066

Position Type: Full-time | Salaried

Schedule: The weekly schedule ranges but is approximately 7:30am – 4:00pm with additional time as needed to complete projects. Evening hours are sometimes required.

Occasional special event support is required on weeknights, weekends, and holidays for JA events.

Role Snapshot:

The Experiential Learning Program Facilitator is responsible for ensuring the participating students and teachers have a successful and engaging day at JA BizTown or JA Career Discovery Park. The Program Facilitator works directly with fifth or eighth grade students, teachers, parent volunteers, college students, and corporate volunteer teams. This position works closely with the Experiential Learning team to assist in simulation rebuilds and preparation and works closely with the Experiential Learning Program Manager to carry out quality checks and administer follow-up training to all program assistants.


This position reports to the Experiential Learning Program Manager, and is a key member of the JA team, ensuring that students learn and thrive during their experience with Junior Achievement of South Florida.

You will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Execute a best-in-class learning experience during student JA BizTown and JA Career Discovery Park visits, aligning simulations with curriculum learning objectives and creating authentic application opportunities.
  • Manage onsite engagement of up to 141 students (BT) or 180 students (CDP) per day by coordinating the daily simulation schedule (approx.4 hours) and other logistics to ensure completion of simulation day
  • Facilitate onsite volunteer training and provide support throughout the simulation to volunteers to help them coach students by applying their personal experiences within the context of the simulations.
  • Solicit volunteer and teacher feedback to improve program quality and drive survey collection across programs.
  • Assist with Teacher check in, training and verification as needed.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, maintain and update Job Directions for students.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, create and implement a teacher recognition plan.
  • Follow and maintain standard processes for teacher/volunteer paperwork
  • Complete Post teacher communications as needed.
  • Provide a high quality of customer service and support to all stakeholders that contribute to renewing commitments from existing schools and educators involved in the program.
  • Monitor program supplies and inventory
  • Follow and maintain the established recordkeeping system and processes - such as student visit day data and survey collection, maintaining clear and concise records.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot common issues with simulation software and/or store front technology.
  • Simulation Prep and Reset – ensure that program resources and all essential materials for students and volunteers are prepared and ready prior to arrival.
  • Complete verification and D365 processes as required, maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor student engagement through quality checks.
  • Provide lead teachers and principal with stewardship and recognition
  • Assist with curriculum preparation and distribution.
  • Complete marketing and grant deliverables during program day such as testimonials.
  • Attend teacher or volunteer training/networking/appreciation events
  • Create Training Material content including videos, templates and visual aids.
  • Assist and execute staff training including monitoring, follow-up & documentation to ensure program quality is maintained and corrections administered.
  • Work with the program team to manage SHIFTS scheduling tool and create staff schedules monthly.
  • Supervise program staff during visit day and ensure quality reset of the simulation space on a daily basis.
  • Ensure JA BizTown and JA Career Discovery Park are in constant state of operational readiness through daily walkthroughs, observations and quality inspections.
  • Coordinate with all members of the team to gather and share feedback about the simulation experience.
  • Create and deliver engaging program experiences while recognizing and supporting students who require accommodations to ensure equitable participation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist other JA programs as needed.

  • Good knowledge of IT and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to pass a background check for working with children.
