    Vice President Portfolio Management, Solutions & Experiences

    Description -

    The VP Portfolio Product Management, Solutions & Experiences reports to the SVP/Division President of HP's Commercial Systems organization. This position is responsible for the creation of a competitive roadmap that meets the needs (today and in the future). The Head of Product & Portfolio Management in Commercial Systems is responsible for the overall lifecycle of core PC hardware products and solutions which includes the Notebooks, Thin clients, Education, and Desktop portfolio. This dynamic leader is committed to understanding and addressing market/customer leads, driving a team of product management professionals, as well as collaborating with customers, alliance partners and internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution in all matters of product management. This person is an excellent leader and communicator, as well as a developer of product management talent within and across product lines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategy development and thought leadership: demonstrate advanced knowledge in the domain of expertise in defining a strategy to win - the 'why HP' drivers of differentiation and scale.

    • Lead and deliver an integrated Commercial System's portfolio vision and strategy for differentiated products and solutions with reconcilable differences, leveraging the broader HP portfolio and alliance partnership relationships aligned with the strategy to win in the market.

    • Drive integrated product vision and strategy across the HP GBUs, functions and key partner alliances to bring to life, "better together" a One HP enabled AI enabled PC, experience & solutions.

    • Responsible for Customer Journey Mapping process to ensure we are delivering important and meaningful customer value across the portfolio.

    • Disciplined product lifecycle management governance, ensure seamless and high impact new product introduction, lead lifecycle management activities between key stakeholder organizations, e.g., NPI, Category, Sales, R&D.

    • Defines and continually refines the product roadmap, synthesizing customer insights, industry trends, market input, technology roadmaps, and all initiatives for operational excellence.

    • Provides thought-leadership on new Commercial PC solution offerings as well as refreshes.

    • Delivering profitable growth with sustained HP differentiation across the product line.

    • Responsible for long-term business forecasting and marketing budget recommendations.

    • Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners, and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making at the highest organizational levels.

    • Maintains and nurtures relationships with our alliance and key technology partners at the executive level.

    • Requires strong and close collaboration across multiple business to ensure we continue to deliver consistent commercial capabilities across the portfolio.

    • Consults with business leaders at the L2 and L1 levels to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g., mitigating risk, approving significant programs/deals).

    Education and Experience Required

    • First level university degree with a focus in Marketing, Business, or Engineering; advanced degree strongly preferred.

    • Typically, 12+ years of experience in product marketing or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.

    • Preferred 8+ years of people management experience.

    • Previous VP level PC Product marketing domain experience.

    The pay range for this role is $266,000 - $318,000 USDannually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
