Job description

Litigation Associate – Sacramento, CA

Direct Counsel is representing a leading AmLaw 100 firm seeking a 3rd–6th Year Litigation Associate to join its Sacramento office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle complex litigation in state and federal courts
  • Draft and argue motions, including dismissal, summary judgment, and class certification
  • Prepare and respond to writs and appeals
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Assist with trial preparation and case strategy
  • Manage cases and mentor junior associates
  • Analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions
Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of complex litigation experience
  • Proven experience arguing motions and handling depositions
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and strategic skills
  • Trial preparation and case management experience
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys
  • Law Review experience preferred
  • Strong academic credentials from a top law school
  • California Bar admission required
