Job description

Litigation Associate – Northern Virginia

Direct Counsel is representing a leading AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Northern Virginia office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues
  • Draft briefs and motions involving:
    • Motions to dismiss
    • Summary judgment
    • Class certification
    • Writs and appeals
  • Handle sophisticated state and federal litigation matters
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Work closely with clients and experienced litigators
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of complex litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with complex motion practice required
  • Trial, deposition, and hearing experience preferred
  • Prior judicial clerkship preferred
  • Virginia Bar admission required
