AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Virtual Machine Management: Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Resource Allocation: Managing the allocation of resources such as CPU, memory, and storage to VMs based on workload requirements and performance metrics
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitoring the virtual environment for performance issues and optimizing VM configurations to enhance efficiency and stability.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing backup and recovery procedures for VMs to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.
  • Security Compliance: Ensuring that the virtual environment complies with organizational security policies and standards, implementing necessary security measures to protect VMs.
  • Capacity Planning: Conducting capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the virtual infrastructure can meet future demands and growth.
  • Incident Response: Providing advanced support during incidents involving virtual environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of the virtual environment, including VM configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required Clearance:
TS/SCI (#tssci)
Required Qualifications:
  • Virtualization Technologies: In-depth knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other relevant technologies.
  • System Administration: Proficiency in system administration tasks for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Performance Tuning: Skills in performance tuning and optimization techniques for virtualized environments to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks and streamline VM operations.
  • Senior-Level Experience: Extensive experience in managing virtualized environments, with a focus on operations, deployment, and optimization of VMs.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or other virtualization-related certifications would be beneficial.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects related to the deployment and optimization of virtual environments.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address performance issues and improve the overall efficiency of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Candidate must have a Security + and will need to attain an ITIL 4 certification within 4 months of start.
