Job Summary

AT&T is seeking a senior-level cybersecurity professional to operationalize quantum security standards and supply chain governance across the enterprise within Chief Security Office (CSO) - Emerging Technology / Quantum Security. As a Senior Cybersecurity Quantum Security & Innovation, you will focus on industry standards adoption, supplier engagement, policy implementation, innovation, and procurement, to address post-quantum cryptography (PQC) risks and emerging quantum threats. You will closely with standards bodies, product, procurement, and development teams to ensure AT&T maintains a continuous state of quantum readiness and reduces long-term business, regulatory, and supply-chain risk. This is an Individual Contributor role.

Key Responsibilities

Quantum Industry Standards & Policy:

  • Monitor, interpret, and validate quantumrelated security standards and guidance, including: NIST PostQuantum Cryptography (PQC); Federal and criticalinfrastructure guidance (e.g., CISA, NSA, Executive Orders);Industry standards (e.g., ATIS, 3GPP, CBOMrelated standards)

  • Translate emerging quantum standards into actionable AT&T security policies, controls, and compliance criteria.

  • Lead updates to SISR policy to explicitly address quantumsecurity and cryptographic resilience requirements.

Supply Chain & Supplier Engagement

  • Own the quantum security supplychain engagement model for AT&T.

  • Partner with Procurement and Risk teams todefine quantum security requirements for suppliers, gather and assess quantum security roadmaps from strategic vendors and drive adoption of postquantum cryptography and cryptoagility expectations within supplier contracts

  • Evaluate supplier maturity related to quantum security, cryptographic posture, and longterm migration planning.

Innovation & Procurement

  • Assess and identify opportunities for quantum innovation in alignment with AT&T's business goals (e.g. evaluate vendor proof of concepts and proposals)

  • Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to ideate and launch quantum innovation products and services that align with industry gaps and AT&T IP

Agility, Remediation & Innovation

  • Guide PQC migration readiness and remediation planning across applications and platforms

  • Identify gaps and drive innovation opportunities in quantum-safe security capabilities

Platform & Policy Enablement

  • Support integration of quantum and cryptographic posture into enterprise security platforms

  • Align internal and external policies related to CBOMs and supplier cryptographic visibility

Role Characteristics

  • Individual contributor with high autonomy and ability to navigate large enterprises

  • Cross-functional, enterprise-facing role spanning security, procurement, legal, policy updates, and collaboration with product and software development teams across business units.

  • Operates effectively in ambiguity as standards and technologies continue to evolve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, security policy, risk, supplier security, security delivery, or related technical roles.

  • Familiarity with quantum security, post-quantum cryptography, or emerging technology domains is preferred; deep quantum domain expertise is not required.

  • Familiarity with applying Artificial Intelligence (AI)or Machine Learning (ML)techniques in cybersecurity contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring).

  • Self-starter with strong intellectual horsepower, sound judgment, and a high degree of accountability

  • Must be able to synthesize complex issues, drive decisions, and deliver outcomes in a fast-evolving domain.

Our Senior Cybersecurity, earns between$128,400-$192,600 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
