We are seeking aMedical ScienceLiaison(MSL)orSenior MSLtojoin usourBreastOncologyteam! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientific,clinical,and therapeutic areaexpertiseresponsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZeneca's oncology marketed products, new indications for current products, and compounds in development.

Whatyou'lldo

  • Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.

  • Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g.academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)

  • Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of theMDT.

  • Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions

  • Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier tooptimaltreatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer

  • Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs

  • Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.

  • Collaborate withClinops on trials from feasibility to execution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degreerequired(i.e.PharmD, MD/DO, PhD,PAor NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline

  • Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialoguesAbility to navigate within amatrixialenvironment

  • Ability to navigate within amatrixialenvironment

  • 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience

  • Demonstratedexpertisein discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences

  • Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols

  • Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trialmethodology,statisticsand regulatory environment

  • Excellent project management ability

  • Ability to travel (40-60% by car,trainand plane domestic)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline
