As a Sr. Analyst dedicated to the Nexus project, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of Nexus - an internal tool that is transforming the way we conduct early model testing. You will validate Nexus functionality end-to-end, ensuring the platform delivers accurate, reliable, and reproducible results across catastrophe model workflows. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge science, finance, and modern software engineering, you will build deep expertise in both the Nexus platform and the early-stage model testing processes it enables. Verisk Employee Privacy Notice

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science from a reputable institution.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in QA or analytical roles within a computational analytics or software company, with preference for candidates who have tested internal tooling or platform products.
• Thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server, with the ability to mentor and train others.
• Experience in analyzing and manipulating large datasets.
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis, along with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  Nice to have: Experience processing geospatial data using QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
• Ability to identify patterns, make thorough observations from numerical datasets, and derive meaningful mathematical relationships.
• Nice to have: Experience validating numerical or probabilistic models in engineering, science, catastrophe modeling, finance, or actuarial science.
• Programming skills including numerical, scientific, and database programming.
• Proven analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and experience working within distributed and global teams comprising diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams that are talented, culturally diverse, global, and possess varying levels of technical expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end UI test automation, including writing, maintaining, and executing Cypress test suites within CI environments; working proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of product development lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile sprint workflows, with an understanding of QA's critical role in early-stage model testing and internal tool delivery.
• Logical and clear thinker with a track record of making sound, process-driven decisions.
