Join Stryker Instruments as a Senior Project Manager in our Neurosurgical business unit, where you will support the delivery of life-changing medical devices and software solutions to market. Your efforts will help neurosurgeons achieve better patient outcomes and improve lives.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle-from concept through commercialization. You will support project planning, ensure tasks are appropriately prioritized, resources are allocated effectively, and key milestones are achieved. Working closely with senior project leaders, you will assist in tracking project progress, proactively addressing challenges, and keeping projects on schedule-particularly those involving software-driven and digitally enabled solutions.
This position follows a hybrid work model. For the first few months, candidates should expect to be onsite several days per week to support onboarding and gain practical, hands-on experience in the role.

What you will do:
You will assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design execution, monitoring, and closure of a project. In addition to that, you will lead and manage all aspects of post-delivery software maintenance and enhancement projects. You will help implement and maintain agile practices, optimize and improve team performance, and be an agile champion throughout the organization.
  • Employ agile practices to aid in the creation of a fast, reliable flow of value to our customers.
  • Assemble a project team, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels and functions within the organization. Build credibility through effective and proactive relationship management and stakeholder management.
  • Proactively manage and mitigate project risks. Facilitate timely and data-driven decision-making to support the project timeline and budget, engaging stakeholders and leaders as needed.
  • Manage the project timeline, budget, resources, and risks to meet design control requirements and follow the Surgical Technologies Business Processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver agile practices in compliance with a regulated environment.
  • Direct the work of project resources while improving team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, influencing, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and foster employee engagement.
  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels and functions within the organization. Build credibility through effective and proactive relationship management and stakeholder management.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the project's progress, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.

What You Need
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile-Scrum process and principles
  • 6+ years of industry experience in project management within the capacity of a project manager and/or product owner.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in professional software development environments
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex plans and technical information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence behavior and facilitate decision-making throughout the organization in support of achieving project objectives
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Project experience creating and regularly maintaining project timelines
  • Demonstrated track record of leading development efforts through cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in new product development within the medical device industry is a plus
  • PMP/Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • Experience in issue and project tracking software such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian Jira

$102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
Travel Percentage: 30%
