Position Highlights:
Our Transportation Engineering team is growing! Stewart is seeking a talented Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in a Hybrid work environment. In this exciting role, you will be utilizing MicroStation to work on a wide variety of projects, including roadway plans, traffic management plans, pavement marking plans, and signing plans.
Your work may range from bridge replacements to multi-lane widening projects to interchange designs. Put your creativity and innovation skills to the test as you generate ideas and designs for intersection improvement, roundabouts, and superstreet design. Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), required.
  • 5 Years of experience with roadway design
  • Experience in MicroStation, Geopak, and Corridor Modelling, required.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills required.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice to Have
  • Open Roads Designer (ORD), preferred.
  • Experience working with NCDOT
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
You are willing and able to work in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to lots of light, both natural and artificial. Workstations are in an open space layout with frequent collaboration and interactions from co-workers throughout the day. Within the office you are willing and able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Additional requirements include providing on-site technical assistance by accessing client or construction sites with varying terrain.
