Job Summary:The Video Editor is responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging video content for a variety of purposes, such as marketing campaigns, social media platforms, instructional videos, and more. They must be skilled in using video editing software, have a creative eye, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the video production team.Â
Part-time
Key Responsibilities:- Edit raw video footage and audio files into a finished product that meets project specifications
- Add music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the video
- Collaborate with the producer and director to understand the project goals and requirements
- Create motion graphics and incorporate other visual elements into the video
- Ensure the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time
- Stay up to date with new video editing technologies and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge
- Manage project files and archives to ensure efficient organization and retrieval
- Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
- Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work
- Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
- Knowledge of video compression, encoding, and delivery standards
- Familiarity with motion graphics software, such as After Effects, is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field is preferred but not required
