I2X Technologies is seeking a Journeyman Level Editor  

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to editing and disseminating intelligence analysis products produced by the USSTRATCOM JIOC. Contractor personnel shall populate and disseminate Flag Officer/General Officer read books, web-based intelligence portals, and other intelligence dissemination vehicles.
  • Populate and maintain STRATJIOC tasking and production management tools (Excel Spreadsheets, SharePoint Portals) and maintain current templates for USSTRATCOM JIOC’s intelligence products.
  • Support, establish, and maintain a network of contacts for dissemination managers, and production editors to synchronize STRATCOM JIOC’s production management processes with other IC and DoD agencies.
  • Attend relevant Government meetings as requested by the Government in support of analyzing and planning for the Government. Meetings may include periodic training, staff, production, and technical exchange meetings either on-site or off-site. The Contractor shall provide minutes of these meetings as required.
  • Populate and maintain STRATJIOC tasking and production management tools (Excel Spreadsheets, SharePoint Portals, COLISEUM, TMT, and e-Task) and develop templates for USSTRATCOM JIOC’s intelligence products.
  • Provide recurring and as-needed tradecraft training and mentoring to JIOC analysts to ensure intelligence products adhere to prescribed IC standards, style guidelines, and classification rules. This support shall include instruction on production management tools (e.g., CORE or PRESS), development of tailored job aids, and provision of feedback during daily execution to improve analytic workforce proficiency and reduce the need for re-work.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least (5) five years experience as an analyst authoring or editing products focused on Order of Battle (OOB), disposition, capabilities, and and/or doctrine for strategic forces, and/or regional analysis of peer and near-peer adversaries.
  • At least five (5) years of specialized training with 3-5 years of civilian or military intelligence analysis or intelligence production editing experience, or equivalent in private/academic experience. Experience with IC and DoD production management tools (COLISEUM, e-Task, SharePoint) may require training on USSTRATCOM specific tasking tools (TMT).
  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience training and mentoring analysts in IC production standards, style guidance, and classification rules. Editors shall be able to provide feedback and guidance during daily execution to reinforce tradecraft compliance and product consistency in alignment with the latest methodologies.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
