Position Description

The Warehouse Operations Manager is accountable for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations while driving operational excellence across inbound receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, outbound shipping, and reverse logistics. This role is responsible for achieving key operational metrics, including On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and customer service.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who values employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. They will take the time to understand current processes and operational realities before implementing changes, ensuring that improvements are thoughtful, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, develop, and engage a team of approximately 20 warehouse associates.
  • Foster a positive, people-centric culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching, and recognition.
  • Support employee development through training, cross-training, and succession planning.
  • Promote Cohere Beauty's Core Values and maintain a high level of employee engagement.
  • Partner with Human Resources regarding staffing, performance management, attendance, and employee relations matters.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, order picking, kit production, shipping, and returns processing.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time to achieve OTIF performance targets.
  • Monitor operational workflows and staffing levels to optimize productivity and service levels.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight activities while maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee order pulling and fulfillment activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, GMP, and company requirements.

Inventory Improvement & Project Leadership

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and inventory control processes.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Oversee Returned Material Authorization (RMA) processes and reverse logistics activities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Quality teams to address inventory and product-related issues.

Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, quality, and service.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives and warehouse projects from concept through implementation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues, improve process stability, and maintain compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed.

Maintenance Coordination

  • Serve as the primary warehouse liaison for facility and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with internal maintenance teams and external service providers.
  • Track and follow up on maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate inspections, certifications, and preventive maintenance activities for warehouse equipment.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize warehouse management and inventory systems to support operational performance.
  • Experience with AS400 is strongly preferred.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators including:
    • OTIF (On-Time In-Full)
    • Inventory Accuracy
    • Productivity
    • Order Accuracy
    • Receiving Performance
    • Shipping Performance
    • Safety Metrics
  • Develop action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as required to support the Cohere Beauty business processes.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience.
  • Previous experience leading teams in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience managing inventory control and fulfillment operations.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives and operational projects.

  • Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems; AS400 experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work on-site.

    • Warehouse environment – some temperature extremes, dust, and noise.
