Job description

Bowman Gray Stadium is hiring for Ticket Sales Representatives. This position will be responsible for selling event tickets to companies and individuals via walk-in customers on race day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers with ticket purchases.

  • Educate customers about event details, including race schedules, seating arrangements, parking information, and venue amenities.

  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to management as needed.

  • Conduct in person sales.

  • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales transactions, including sales volumes, revenue generated, and payment methods.

  • Coordinate with event organizers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless ticketing operations before, during, and after racing events.

  • Assist with event setup, including the preparation of ticket booths, signage, and promotional materials as needed.

  • Organize and distribute "will-call" tickets.

  • Describe venue layouts and seating locations.

  • Call customers to advise of event changes and/or cancellations; as may periodically be required.

  • Respond to customer inquiries with accurate up-to-date information.

  • Provide superior customer service.

  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all events, services, and procedures by reviewing event information sheets and posted or verbal communication.

  • Deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1-2 years' event staffing or ticket sales experience preferred.

  • Minimum 18 years of age.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.

  • Proficiency in computer software for ticketing systems, sales tracking, and data entry.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing exceptional service.

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities according to the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Reliable transportation to and from the track location.

  • Pass background screening.
