Job description

Position Summary

The Analyst Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) Systems is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the M&E tracking system (Trax-aero) from the business end by troubleshooting and resolving related issues, revising processes within the modules, testing system upgrades and enhancements, classifying resolutions in the IT Ticket System, and providing training.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and replicate M&E system issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the M&E admin after successful duplication
  • Review and revise processes within to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Document process changes and ensure alignment with organizational standards
  • Conduct thorough testing for system upgrades, bug fixes, configuration changes, and enhancements
  • Ensure all changes are tested and validated before deployment to the production environment
  • Accurately classify all resolutions taken to resolve issues in the IT Ticket System
  • Maintain detailed records of issues and resolutions to facilitate future troubleshooting and knowledge-sharing
  • Support training to end-users on new features, system changes, and best practices
  • Develop and update training materials and documents
  • Knowledge of JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy and behavioral standards
  • Take a significant role in the development of the work group's standard practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • One (1) year of experience or one (1) year of academic coursework in a related field
  • Experience in computer software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Comfortable with changing priorities on short notice
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Two (2) years project management experience / certifications
  • Trax-aero or similar M&E system knowledge
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of areas within Technical Operations
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Responsible for ensuring crewmembers have requisite training, resources and support to achieve safety objectives
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $62,000.00 and $101,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
