Civil Engineer Project Manager (Land Development)
Our client is a civil engineering firm that provides design, planning, and consulting services to support land development and infrastructure projects. They work closely with clients to deliver practical, efficient engineering solutions from initial planning through construction and permitting.
They are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer Project Manager to lead and oversee residential and commercial land development projects throughout Central Florida. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from concept through construction, combining strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership and client relationship skills. This role requires deep knowledge of site development design, stormwater management, utility coordination, and local permitting and regulatory processes across Central Florida jurisdictions.
The Civil Engineer Project Manager will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, public agencies, developers, and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence and professionalism.

To thrive as the Civil Engineer Project Manager, you should have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5-10+ years in land development engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida highly preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, EPANET, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software

Your responsibilities as the Civil Engineer Project Manager will include:
  • Manage full project lifecycle: planning, design, permitting, and delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including Engineers-in-Training (E.I.s), particularly in the preparation of stormwater and utility engineering reports.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with local and state agencies including:

    • Orange County, City of Orlando, City of Sanford, Osceola County, Seminole County, Lake County, Polk County, Brevard County, Volusia County, Hillsboro County, and cities across the Central Florida area.
    • St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), South West Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), FDEP, and FDOT.

  • Lead utility design efforts using WaterCAD, EPANET, and other modeling tools.
