Job description

Business Development Manager (Remote–Hybrid)

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager  to drive growth within the automotive or related industries including heavy truck and industrial manufacturing markets.

This is a remote–hybrid role with travel to customer sites and our manufacturing facility as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working independently while partnering closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business development within automotive supplier accounts
  • Manage strategic B2B relationships in aluminum casting and manufacturing
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
  • Prepare RFQs, cost models, pricing strategies, and program timelines
  • Support product launch activities including APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations
  • Maintain CRM pipeline, forecasting, and sales metrics
  • Travel to customer facilities and WAF manufacturing operations (estimated travel 25%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent automotive manufacturing sales experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive supplier, aluminum casting, machining, or industrial manufacturing sales
  • Knowledge of OEM supply chain, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and production launch preferred
  • Strong technical and commercial communication skills
