Job description

UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX!
UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Canon, Ricoh, Xerox and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.

Purpose
UBEO is a distributor/implementor of Cloud and server-based IT software solutions that specializes in networking, security, and data workflows of electronic documents with integrations. Organizations turn to UBEO for professional IT services due to our broad knowledge base and capabilities. UBEO's customers consist of many national and global corporations which expose our engineers to environments that the customers' own IT employees don't get to manage within their own organizations. Career advancement is a high possibility based upon performance due to the growth of the organization.
We are looking for Engineers to implement, document, and support these solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Installation of enterprise grade software on servers and devices on the network.
  • Configuration of cloud services into customer networks.
  • Integrate solution with the customers Identity Providers such as Azure, Google, AD, Okta.
  • Documentation of implemented solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and support current solutions that are in place.
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with the immediate manager in discussing matters of importance.
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Related Dimensions
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and functions:
    DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP. TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, SMB, LDAP
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Server and PC OS
  • Strong understanding of how Firewall, Switches, and Routers function on a network
  • Mac experience desired
  • Use of remote tools like Zoom, Teams, LogMeIn, and VPN
  • Experience with IT Ticketing systems: ConnectWise, ZenDesk, SpiceWork, etc
  • Track record of integrity and trustworthiness with confidential/sensitive information.
  • Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Takes ownership of job responsibilities with personal pride and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work within the timeframe of standard policies and procedures and not miss deadlines/due dates.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
  • Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong professionalism and organizational and planning skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years in an IT Support field
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE, Cisco CCNA, Net+
  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Remote and occasional local onsite support
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications
  • Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms
  • Ability to lift 20+lbs on occasion
