We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to support and optimize our Workday Financials platform. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of Workday Financials, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and operational excellence across our finance functions.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with Finance and IT stakeholders to enhance business processes, support critical financial operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to Workday Financials responsibilities, this position will provide secondary support for other Workday modules and contribute to broader enterprise systems initiatives.

Responsibilities

Workday Financials Administration

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Expenses

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests

  • Maintain and enhance financial business processes, workflows, and configurations

  • Manage Workday releases, including impact analysis, testing, and deployment of new features and updates

  • Support financial reporting requirements by configuring and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data extracts

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within Workday Financials

Integration & Data Management

  • Support and maintain integrations between Workday Financials and third-party or internal systems

  • Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure accurate data flow

  • Perform data loads, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance teams to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions

  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for financial system processes

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Workday Financials functionality and best practices

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and user experience

  • Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and strategic initiatives

  • Recommend and implement process improvements aligned with organizational goals

Broader Systems Support

  • Provide secondary support for other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking) as needed

  • Contribute to cross-functional IT initiatives and enterprise system support

Who you are

Education & Training

A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant professional experience)

Experience

A minimum of 4 years of system administration experience with 3+ years of experience administering Workday Financials

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial business processes (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses)

  • Experience with Workday configuration, business process frameworks, and reporting tools

  • Experience with business process framework and security configuration

  • Proficiency in Workday reporting and calculated fields

  • Experience with EIB data loads

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in Finance, HR and IT

  • Familiarity with Workday integrations and basic troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of compliance and data privacy standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Financials certification(s)

  • Experience supporting additional Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Strategic Sourcing, Adaptive Planning)

  • Experience with Workday integrations (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors, Studio)

  • Familiarity with SOX compliance or financial controls

Physical/Mental Demands

Prolonged periods of working on a computer. Must be able to work additional hours when necessary. Periodic travel and overnight stays will be required when attending industry workshops, training, and working from the head office etc.

 

Compensation Range:

$79,040.00 - $94,848.00 - $110,656.00/salary 

This compensation range represents the minimum, midpoint and maximum pay for this position. Individual offers will be based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and experience. Please note that most offers for new employees fall under the midpoint of the range, allowing room for continued salary growth. Base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which may also include comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off and incentive compensation (bonus) potential.
