Job Summary:
GameStop is seeking a visionary technology leader to shape the future of retail through innovation, AI enablement, and seamless omnichannel experiences. This role will help drive the strategy and execution of a next-generation global retail technology ecosystem, leveraging data, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to power smarter operations, enhance customer engagement, and accelerate business growth.
Responsibilities:
• Work independently and strategically to set technical direction and deliver global retail technology solutions that enable sales, operations, and customer engagement.
• Lead, develop, and grow a team of IT leaders and delivery professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Interface heavily with business leaders and IT counterparts—including Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Strategy, and Program Management—to align technology solutions with organizational priorities.
• Oversee the creation and delivery of technology solutions using Agile development standards, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
• Partners with architects, developers, project managers, network and systems teams, vendors, and product managers to deliver integrated, scalable solutions that support omnichannel retail growth.
• Drive the strategic integration of technologies across stores, digital platforms, supply chain, and corporate systems to enable global consistency and efficiency.
• Provide fiscal leadership through effective budget management, technology investment planning, and ROI accountability.
• Anticipate retail and technological trends, guiding innovation that enhances customer experience and operational performance.
• Establish governance, delivery standards, and metrics to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of retail technology platforms.
• Represent GameStop externally as a leader in retail technology and build strong vendor and partner relationships that support growth and innovation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including significant responsibility for retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel delivery
• Proven track record in leading large-scale technology programs that support sales enablement, retail operations, and customer engagement globally
• Demonstrated success managing budgets, vendor relationships, and global delivery teams
• Expertise in enterprise integration, POS systems, retail platforms, supply chain technology, and customer-facing solutions
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with executives, peers, and cross-functional teams
• Experience driving Agile development standards and processes across large-scale organizations
• Commitment to building diverse, high-performing teams and maintaining a culture of integrity, inclusion, and accountability
Preferred:
• Master’s in Business Administration or advanced technology discipline preferred
