Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:
Product Development Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Develop and refine design validation methods for ensuring proper feature-level performance. Create system, software, and diagnostic requirements, and relevant specifications. Write software models. Plan and execute design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance. Sign-off on feature-level performance and will plan and execute real-world evaluations to identify system problems and issues. Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal and external suppliers and will integrate and configure models and other software packages with a variety of production and other hardware to enable pre- production feature-level verification. Ensure system designs, functional safety, and other deliverables. Domestic Travel Required up to 10%.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilize CAN tools to collect and diagnose vehicle communication data between different electronic modules. 2. Write Scripts, models, and log instruments using Quality Documents 8Ds. 3. Develop automotive features and systems by leveraging knowledge in Automotive Feature Specification Analysis. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Design validation methods for ensuring proper feature-level performance. 2. Ensure system designs, functional safety, and other deliverables. 3. Sign-off on feature-level performance.
We are offering a salary of $84,053.00 - $164,372.16/yr.
