How You'll Make an Impact
As a Senior New Product Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the design and development of advanced manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to support new product introductions. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.
In This Role, You Will:
- Design and build efficient manufacturing processes, tools, fixtures, process aids, and equipment for new products.
- Lead project teams to implement new designs from concept through validation.
- Serve as the project manager for new process and product development initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership when interfacing with customers on development programs.
- Support manufacturing operations with technical expertise and engineering solutions.
- Train production operators, mentor process technicians, and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Apply root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
- Support product launch activities, including participation in MFEA and tooling design reviews.
- Execute validation and qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Partner with project engineers during new product development activities.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer/Controls Engineering.
- Eight or more years of experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing technical projects.
- Experience with mechanical design of fixtures and semi-automated tooling.
- Proficiency in Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Strong mechanical and controls aptitude with hands-on experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical understanding of algebra, physics, and basic chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Potential for advancement into senior technical leadership roles.
