Job description

Job Summary:

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for efficiently operating an extrusion machine for yarn production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Regularly maintain extrusion line doffs.
  • String up positions when breakouts occur as efficient as possible.
  • Effectively pack-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation.
  • Work with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Learn to clean and inspect spinnerets.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and bending is required throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous Extrusion experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime required on occasion.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
