Job description

Job Summary:

A Sales Territory Manager works for the Engineered Floors residential division, and is responsible for selling flooring products and building customer relationships that result in profitable, continuous sales. Efficient, effective coverage and management of accounts in the assigned geographic area is a key focus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and establish new accounts to increase sales
  • Develop knowledge and enthusiasm for product lines
  • Inform District or Regional Manager of potential problems or issues of concern
  • Demonstrate skills in overcoming adversity and temporary disadvantages
  • Discover customer needs and/or reservations
  • Demonstrate perseverance, tenacity, and grit in pursuing sales
  • Exhibit excellence in presentation and sales skills with organized, efficient account management, and a plan for each account
  • Use samples and other sales tools with proficiency
  • Use technical skills to operate a paperless management of sales and accounts
  • Submit all reports and inquiry responses accurately and on-time
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, behavior, and appearance at all times

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • Outside sales experience required; experience in industry sales preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
  • Proficiency with applicable technology
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
