Job description

Job Summary:

Operator extrudes pellets in the color compound department and helps maintain daily operations. Will achieve high quality, efficiency and low cost productivity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pull component material and set up on machine by specification
  • Quality control will provide process specification
  • Operator is responsible for the machine being set up correctly
  • Feed the component material through the color compound machine
  • Responsible for putting in the pellet bin
  • Fill out all process specification sheets for the lines
  • Monitor all side barrels for contamination
  • Monitor shakers and bins for uncut pellets
  • Review all Maguire setups
  • Monitor lines for breakouts
  • Rerun all side barrels with color
  • Clean area and wipe down lines and Maguires
  • Other Duties assigned by management
  • Keep the Supervisor or Department Manager appropriately informed of equipment issues or any concerns

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Must be safety oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work flexible hours

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Must maintain LTO certification
  • Utilize all PPE required
