Job description

Job functions:

  • Provide world-class customer service, to our customers.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and co-workers that are based on trust and respect.
  • Process customer orders and respond to all inquiries from customers and sales force.
  • Interact with customers to provide information about products, order status, shipping information, etc.
  • Support Sales and customers with an appropriate sense of urgency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process and confirm orders by phone, fax, or email into the AS400 system
  • Serves as primary contact for intricate/specialty orders
  • Resolves issues on mostly routine but some more complex orders
  • Manage and update the database with relevant notes
  • Communicate solutions or requested information to the customer and/or TM
  • Be able to work effectively in a positive, fast-paced call center environment
  • Be an active supporter of team endeavors to make EF a high-performance workplace
  • Work with multiple departments to ensure orders are ready to ship in a timely manner
  • Provide customers and sales representatives with accurate information concerning inventory availability, order assignment, pricing, and shipping details as necessary
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, sales representatives, and coworkers

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Enter orders accurately and limit the number of mistakes that impact our customers.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a call center environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Office
  • Be an active listener and read to understand email communications
  • Attained full proficiency in specific area of responsibility
  • Ability to type 45 WPM
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task Customer Service responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Overtime is required on occasion.
