Job description

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Plant Maintenance is to be responsible for assisting as needed in miscellaneous maintenance jobs across the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proficient use of welding equipment and cutting torches.
  • Assist in maintenance of lift trucks and air compressors.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. weights of 1 to 100 pounds 0 - 100 times per shift.)
  • Standing is required, varies per shift. (1 to 50 times per shift for intervals of 5 minutes to 10 hours.)
  • Reaching is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. 1 to 50 times per hour.)
  • Stooping is required, varies per shift. (1 to 20 times per hour for intervals of 1 minute to 1 hour.)
  • Bending is required, varies per shift. (For tools, parts, to do work 1 to 30 times per hour.)
  • Must operate hand, power, and shop tools, varies per shift, (1 to 50 times per shift.)
  • Must be able to distinguish color shade differences.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must be able to do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Normal mobility, no abnormal fear of heights or confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license.
