A US-based Project Manager with strong experience in ProjectManagement, Software Engineering, and SDLC processes isneeded to support Product Engineering Build - Insurance Software and BPS

Keyobjectivesfor this role are:

  • Apply people management skills tooptimizeSPOCrequirements across the L&A teams, while supportingin managing other critical programs like SmartApps, Woolworths, AI SDLC, and other growingworkloads (10-25% of his time is currently spent onL&A Management alone)

  • Attend U.S. daytime meetings for IPE and committedroadmap/Delivery projects to safeguard IPE/L&Ateam interests and serve as a strong U.S.-to-offshoreinterface.
  • Work hand-in-hand with offshore Portfolio Build Lead to streamline day-to-day communication (daily hand-offs), work issues,and ensure critical U.S. meeting outcomes (decisionsand actions) are documented and promptly sharedwith the offshore team, closing communication gaps.

The U.S. domestic Project Manager should be a highly skilled, self-driven servant leader having an immense North America Life Insurance and Annuities New Business / Policy Administration system release understanding, with strong people management, delivery focus and process expertise. On top of this pre-requisite, a good exposure to new product development iterations and release workflow lifecycle with Agile/JIRA experience would be a definite value-add.

S/he would serve as the liaison between the account teams, DXC project teams and Offshore teams, and possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build a solid value proposition and create a conducive win-win situation. S/he would collaborate with multiple counterparts to deliver the release objectives; lead the release and facilitate adoption of value-added business solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

Strong People, Process, Release Execution / Life-cycle and Policy Administration System focus and understanding (preferably DXC IP products), and life insurance and annuity domain Seamlessly lead the overall product roadmap and work closely with the Director - Software Engineering, Portfolio Build Lead and an array of IPE counterparts Oversee the entire gamut of product development and modification life-cycle from inception through delivery phases for DXC proprietary insurance product Monitor the overall release life-cycle, project tracking & status reporting, process review and compliance on various pre-determined release parameters Staff projections, resource planning and scheduling for the release. Manage both offshore and domestic project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives Release budgeting / Scope-of-Work (SoW) negotiations to actively participate in the roadmap and investment discussions Oversee the Product Development team is adhering to the SAFe Agile Development Methodology, perform perpetual reviews of project status; identify potential project risks, and recommend & implement risk mitigation solutions, as appropriate Discuss with the Product Manager/Owner, and create project definitions, schedule and objectives for various features from small-to-large complexity Actively participate in the delivery assurance reviews to ensure adherence to the project management standards and procedures Closely interact with the IPE and Delivery organization, Technical/Functional staff, understand their requirements and propose solutions using specialized knowledge of DXC's proprietary products

Communication and Release Cadence:

Establish seamless communication mechanism and networking conduit between DXC L&W Insurance Portfolio and Solution stakeholders encompassing multiple ARTs in diverse geographies, including DXC leadership and most importantly, a wide array of existing/potential customer pursuits backed by solid Lean Business Case, Benefit Hypothesis, etc. w.r.t an initiative/capability Pivotal stakeholder in the pre-PI and post-PI release meetings, stakeholder review meetings, monthly cadences with the Delivery and Sales Leadership counterparts, etc. Foster inter / intra ART conducive environment, discuss pain-points/risks, brainstorm mitigation plan/solutions and negotiate on timeline/schedule for the quarterly release(s) based on the committed DoD/WSJF Foster the overall release cadence based on the Product roadmap discussions, budgeting, scheduling, staff projections / Scope-of-Work (SoW), and frequently collaborate with multiple pockets across other ARTs, DXC Build and Services (BPS) organization Seamlessly support the product strategy, active engagement in determining the release milestones, whitepapers and checklist reviews, ensure seamless release deliveries to the customers

Budgeting and Financials:

Monitor the overall product release life-cycle, tracking NRVs, process review and compliance on various pre-determined release parameters (including budget/time/scope) Billing and Staff projections, budget $ adherence, schedule compliance, resource planning and scheduling for the release. Leverage both offshore and domestic project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives Perform L&W Contract and MESA licensing and renewals, billing/invoicing, procurement, vendor management, etc. Prepare detailed SoW, release Whitepaper approval discussions with the GTAT team and gain concurrence & approval from DXC-internal and external stakeholders regarding delivery aspects of the release Actively participate in the delivery assurance reviews to ensure adherence to the project management standards, exit criteria, matrices, Financial forecast (P&L) and other indices/parameters

Management and Administrative Functions:

Timesheet reviews and approvals Performance reviews DXC Contracts understanding Billing and Invoicing Vendor Management and s/w licensing/procurement Finance Procedures and Tracking Budgets (Forecasts/Actuals), WBS owner, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

2. Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems (or) related field preferred

3. Twelve (or) more years of relevant experience

4. Experience working with the interface of information technology with functional groups within the organization

5. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.

Other Skills:

1. Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills

2. Strong negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills

4. Ability to lead and work in a fast-paced SAFe Agile model comprising of multiple teams & geographies involving time overlaps

5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks seamlessly

6. Willingness to travel, as required

1. Remote (or) Office environment, as required

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $105,500 - $195,900.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
