Position Summary

This position is responsible for Supply Chain system administration, support, and report development and analysis.  Responsible for development of ad hoc and standardized reporting, data visualization, trend analysis and complex forecasting models to support operations and financial plans and to identify opportunities for process improvement.  

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and some administrative focus.
  • Facilitates basic data and process validation testing scenarios.
  • Identifies reporting requirements, extracts data from relevant sources and compiles into user-friendly, actionable data reports. 
  • Develops understanding of tools and processes of customers and Information Technology - lean tools, process improvement tools and data visualization tools. 
  • Utilizes SAP (ERP) and SAP/BI for research, analysis and report writing.
  • Creates information views using existing landscape (data structure) and reporting tools, and tests/validates report data and performance. 
  • Trains customer on usage of tool and analysis of data. Customizes training based on evaluation of customer skill level and responsibilities. 
  • Creates, forecasts, and analyzes information sets to comply with external reporting guidelines. 
  • Develops, analyzes, and monitors financial and operational metrics for management, including capital and operating & maintenance financial budget and business plan initiatives. 
  • Evaluates existing and new tools and processes to identify needs and gaps and keeps abreast of latest technological developments that could be adopted into the strategic framework. 
  • Represents Supply Chain in cross-functional teams to impact decisions that are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. 
  • Coordinates and facilitates discussions with customers to understand goals and provide analytical support to improve processes and cost efficiencies. 
  • Proactively monitors usage of information needs for customers. 
  • Manages security and sensitivity of data before publishing or granting access. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Familiarity with inventory management concepts and warehouse management.
Ability to learn and adapt to latest technologies to improve existing processes.
Ability to grasp concepts of procurement, government compliance, and workflow related concepts.
Basic understanding of variance analysis and business impact.
Intermediate understanding of SAP content, reports, table structures and current reporting tools.
Ability to work independently, or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve results with multiple deadlines.
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Business Objects, SAP/BI.
Basic knowledge of program/project management concepts.
Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication skills with all levels across the organization.
Ability to multi-task various work assignments in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, internet, electronic mail and scheduling
Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management or related field with increasing levels of responsibility. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing process flow diagrams and using lean tools to eliminate process waste. 
  • Demonstrated experience with leading project teams, creating dashboards and planning capital and O&M budgets.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or similar level of procurement / analytical capability gained through demonstrated success in a related position.
